Deprived of citizenship due to voluntary acquisition of it in 2005 for canadian citizenship.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Saturday, April 29, signed a decree on the termination of citizenship of the people’s Deputy Andriy Artemenko, which earlier allegedly gave former Advisor to Donald trump, Michael Flynn the normalization of relations between Ukraine and Russia.
About it on the page in Facebook said the leader of “Radical party” Oleg Lyashko.
According to him, Artemenko deprived of citizenship “in connection with the voluntary acquisition in 2005 of canadian citizenship”.
“This is a unique and the first in 26 years of Independence when a state official responsible for the violation of the Constitution of Ukraine, which provides only one – Ukrainian! – citizenship. Now Artemenko and his defenders will cry that the Constitution prohibits the deprivation of citizenship. To deprive – Yes, and to stop – it does not!”, – said Lyashko.
“Now we will demand that the Parliament at the first plenary meeting, on 16 may early has stopped powers as a Deputy Artemenko,” – said the MP.
Lyashko also said that according to his information, on Saturday morning Artemenko flew to Vienna and expressed the hope that on his return he will pass a Ukrainian passport.
