Poroshenko urged the opposition to refrain from aiding the aggressor

It is not necessary to make gifts to the General staff of an enemy country, the President said.

President Petro Poroshenko called on the opposition forces in the heat of combat power to refrain from aiding the aggressor.

He said this during the solemn ceremony of raising the national flag on Sophia square in Kyiv.

“The struggle for unity, solidarity and consolidation of various political forces in the name of national interest, I believe one of the main objectives. Unfortunately, whether because of selfishness, or political blindness, not all politicians are able to see that in terms of external aggression in the internal struggle there are red lines that cross strictly prohibited. Because for them it is natural for a democracy, the competition between the opposition and government becomes, even if unconscious, complicity with the aggressor, in the gift of the General staff of the country of the enemy,” – said Poroshenko.

Recall that after the scandal with the publication of an article about the alleged involvement of Ukraine to the supply of missile equipment of the DPRK party “Batkivshchyna” were quick to blame the government. Later, however, the force refused this statement and said that its placement wasn’t authorized.
