This was stated by the Deputy head of the presidential Administration Konstantin Eliseev.
“It will be adopted a joint Declaration of the summit of the European people’s party will fully support the approaches of Ukraine for the further development of the Eastern partnership,” he said.

The diplomat stressed that Poroshenko’s proposal in the summit Declaration included a call for the immediate release of Ukrainian hostages in the Donbas and the political prisoners in the Russian prisons.
The Ukrainian head of state also raised the issue of the need for accommodation on the occupied territory of Donbass UN peacekeeping mission, and the suggestion was approvingly received.
Poroshenko discussed prospects for EU economic sanctions against Russia as a result of undermining the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
“The main topic of the talks was the future strategy of relations between Ukraine and the EU,” he added.
