The head of state told the MEPs about the ceasefire violations in the Donbas.
Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine, and also with the help of the information war trying to destroy the foundations of democracy. This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during a speech at the session of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
He reminded the MEPs that Russia intervenes in the Affairs of not only Ukraine but also European countries.

We cannot afford to lose before this threat. We will prove their dignity. In recent years, the members of the Council of Europe felt the delicacy of the Russian information war. Repeatedly faced with the language of hatred, violence and discrimination disguised under the slogans of freedom of speech. Only on the basis of respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, we can achieve peace and stability in Europe,” said Poroshenko.
The head of state said that Russia regularly violates the ceasefire in the Donbass.
“I as head of state want peace for Ukraine and Europe. And it’s not just words. Ukraine has repeatedly proved its willingness to peaceful settlement of the situation, which is artificially created by Russia. Moscow continues to ignore its obligations under the Minsk agreements. Her troops are still on Ukrainian territory – in Crimea and in the Donbas. Every day comes more disturbing news about the gross violation of human rights in the occupied territories. Only during this year, Ukraine initiated three long regimes of the ceasefire in the ATO area at Easter, harvest time and the beginning of the school year. The Russian occupying forces and their supporters broke them almost immediately,” – he stressed.
The President recalled that Russia continues to supply weapons created by her illegal formations.
