Poroshenko told, when in the Donbass will be held local elections.
After the Russian occupation troops would be withdrawn from East Ukraine, there will begin the process of preparing for the local elections.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on air of ICTV TV channel.
Immediately after the withdrawal of the Russian troops from our territory, as it will take away guns, take away the tanks, multiple rocket launchers, as the peacekeeping mission to disarm illegal armed groups, we’re ready to start a political process for the preparation of local elections, – said the head of state.
According to the President, the government will engage in dialogue with those people that the election will be declared elected during the free will of the citizens residing on the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
“We will engage in dialogue on implementation of rights of local self-government in the liberated territories. It is Minsk (Minsk arrangements, – “24”). There is written and we are ready to fulfill the agreements,” – said Poroshenko.
