Poroshenko signed a law on privatization of housing in dormitories

Порошенко подписал закон о приватизации жилья в общежитияхCitizens have the right for privatization of residential premises in a hostel after their settlement in individual residential premises in a hostel.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko today, June 1, 2017, signed a draft law №1076 “the President’s Proposals to the Law “On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on securing implementation of housing rights of residents of hostels”.

This is evidenced by information on a document page on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The last stage of the passage of the document is returned with a signature from the President.

According to the law, citizens are legally registered place of residence in the Dorm and actually living in it in terms of providing them a bed, have the right for privatization of residential premises in a hostel after their settlement in individual residential premises in a hostel.

However, the right to apply to the privatization of premises in dormitories, built in Soviet times, state funds (including at the expense of state and collective enterprises and organizations) and which have been included in the authorized capital (funds) economic societies and other organizations created in the process of privatization (corporatization) of former state or municipal enterprises, including those that were later transferred to the Charter capital of other legal entities or disposed of in any other way.
