The parade will take place on Khreshchatyk.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the framework of the decree “On the celebration of the 26th anniversary of independence of Ukraine” decided to hold in Kiev on the street Khreshchatyk military parade.
The corresponding decree appeared on the website of Poroshenko may 15.
“On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the proclamation of Ukraine’s independence, with a goal worthy of a celebration in 2017 of the event, the approval of the citizens of patriotism and pride for their country, the valor of the Ukrainian people in the struggle for freedom and independence, resolve: the Cabinet of Ministers to develop, taking into account proposals of the organizing Committee, approve and ensure the implementation of the action plan on preparation and celebration of the 26th anniversary of independence of Ukraine, providing, in particular, held on 24 August 2017, the independence Day of Ukraine military parade on Khreshchatyk street and the Independence square in the Ukrainian capital city of Kiev”, — stated in the decree of the President.
Religious organizations will be invited to spend 24 August 2017 prayers for Ukraine.
