Poroshenko commented on the decree of Vladimir Putin.
President Petro Poroshenko during a briefing in Munich after a meeting with the Vice-President of the United States commented on Russia’s recognition of passports issued by the self-proclaimed republics in the Donbas.
“I informed the Vice President about the recent decision of President Putin on the recognition of passports from the occupied territories of LNR and DNR. For me it is another proof of Russian occupation and Russian violations of international law, and it is symbolic that this happened cynically during the Munich security conference”, — said Poroshenko.
Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognizing valid documents issued to citizens of Ukraine and stateless persons residing in the territories of separate districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine to the political settlement of the situation in these areas.
