President Petro Poroshenko commented on the idea of abolishing the ATO, stressing the importance of ensuring that the Ukrainian military fully capable of countering the aggression.
“If we abolish the ATO and at the same time do not give the military the right to act adequately in the face of aggression – leave Ukraine defenseless” – he answered a question of journalists on possibility of cancellation of the ATO and the imposition of martial law.
According to him, he has instructed to develop a bill for the reintegration of Donbass, providing a number of measures of return of territories of Ukraine.
“It covers a range of activities and steps that need to be implemented to enhance reintegration, to determine the legal regime,” – said Poroshenko.
