The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced the new priority directions in the development of a country’s trade with the European Union.
President Petro Poroshenko said, what are the next priorities of Ukraine in the development of trade with the European Union.

According to the head of the state, we are talking about the strengthening of customs cooperation, conclude agreements on conformity assessment and suitability of industrial products and the adaptation of legislation in the sphere of sanitary and phytosanitary measures.
The President stressed that the start of application of Ukraine since January 1, the provisions of the Regional Convention on pan-Euro-Mediterranean preferential rules of origin would give the country a “new impetus”.
He also recalled that 3 years ago, Ukraine has earned the free trade area with the EU, and for its duration, the volume of trade between Ukraine and the European Union increased by 40%.
“The EU’s share in export of Ukrainian products has reached a historic high at 42.5%. Qualitative change in the structure of Ukrainian exports towards value-added products, the share of which accounted for 43% of exports to the EU”, – says Poroshenko.
According to him, free trade with the EU was the impetus to conduct and conclusion of negotiations on an FTA with other major trading countries, such as Canada, Israel and Turkey.
