The first step to achieving peace in the Donbass should be the decision of the UN security Council regarding peacekeepers.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko ruled out as options for achieving peace in the Donbass, the likelihood of a military attack and surrender.
He stated that on 31 may during a visit to Ivano-Frankivsk region, the press service of the President.
“I reject the two extremes on the path to peace. Any other suggestions are acceptable. Extremes for jingoistic the idea of an adventurous military offensive, which will need millions of lives of Ukrainian heroes. And the second idea – surrender. Peace on Russian terms when we need to give the Ukrainian land. While I am President, not one scrap of Ukrainian land, we do not give it to anyone,” – said Poroshenko.
The President added that the first step to achieving peace in the Donbass should be the decision of the security Council of the United Nations concerning the peacekeeping mission.
“Why is it so important? Just come to our invitation peacekeepers from around the world, Russian occupation troops are leaving the Ukraine. And then we don’t need any help. We in Ukraine very quickly understand each other. If only there were an aggressor state”, – said the head of state.
