The murder of human rights activist Mostovskoy has caused concern in the West, said the President.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko expressed gratitude to the police for prompt disclosure of the murder of lawyer Irina Moskowskoy and highlighted the potential for police reform.
He stated on 9 January at a meeting with heads of law enforcement agencies.
“I am grateful to the National police for their excellent work and prompt disclosure of resonant murder of human rights activist Irina Mostovskoy” he said.
He added that the murder was of concern to the international partners of Ukraine.
According to him, the results of the investigation of resonant murder Mostovskoy is based “on absolutely proven evidence and expertise”.
Earlier, the chief of police of Kiev region Dmitry coens said that the militiamen managed to establish the final hours Mostovskoy. According to him, her death came two or three days before the body was found. Noskovskaya died of multiple stab wounds.
