According to the President of Romania, Poroshenko has promised that Ukraine will implement the recommendations of the Venice Commission.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during a meeting with Romanian President Klaus Johannson promised to change the education legislation only after consultations with the Romanian side.
This was stated by the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis.
“I asked the President Poroshenko took it that any future changes or enhancements of this legislation, as it related to the Romanian minority, will be made only after bilateral consultations with Romanian authorities and representatives of the Romanian minority in Ukraine”, – said Johannes.
According to the Romanian President, Petro Poroshenko also promised that Ukraine will fulfill the recommendations of the Venice Commission on educational law. Iohannis added that the language law is worried about Romania, but he hopes for a solution to this problem.
“We are optimistic that we will find good and decent decisions,” added Iohannis.
