During the meeting the parties coordinated approach to the placing of the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbass
In the framework of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Finland Sauli, Niinisto.
Thus, in the framework of the meeting the parties coordinated approach regarding the possible deployment of the UN peacekeeping mission in the entire territory of certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, including the uncontrolled territory of the Russian-Ukrainian state border. The President noted the importance of a coordinated position with the aim of countering the politically motivated construction of the project “Northern stream-2”. Poroshenko also told a Finnish counterpart on the situation in the Donbass, the implementation of the Minsk agreements and outlined the vision of the strategy of de-occupation of Crimea.
