Poroshenko has stated that there is no alternative to the Minsk agreements.
Ukraine sees no alternative to the Minsk agreements.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
“We see no alternative to the Minsk agreements and urge their full implementation”, – said P. Poroshenko.
According to him, a significant part of today’s conversation with Angela Merkel will be devoted to the Minsk process.
“A significant part of today’s talks with the Chancellor dedicated to increasing the effectiveness of implementation, including the Russian Federation, the Minsk agreement that we need to do in order to in the East of Ukraine finally came to the world to implement the requirements of the cease-fire, withdrawal of heavy weaponry, the release of Ukrainian hostages and implementation of the whole complex of security envisaged by the Minsk agreements as a prerequisite to the political process”, – said P. Poroshenko.
He noted that Ukraine welcomes the strong willingness of the leaders of Germany and France, leaders of the EU countries for support including questions of sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine.
