Petro and Maryna Poroshenko has allocated 3 million of personal funds to create a Museum of the revolution of Dignity.
The family of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has allocated 3 million UAH of own funds to the organization of the architectural competition for the Museum of the revolution of Dignity. The jury of this competition for the best international and domestic architects also take into account the opinion of relatives of the fallen heroes “Heavenly hundreds”.
In the presidential Administration said that already gave the first land for the Museum near Independence square. The President hopes that his example will be followed by other benefactors.
“Millions of Ukrainians went to the Maidan in a very organized way, without any violence, demanding from the government a very simple thing – the return of our country and our people in the European family. After this was exhausting struggle. It is extremely important that the memory of the revolution of Dignity and Heavenly hundred was forever saved,” – said Petro Poroshenko.
“I believe that the Museum of the revolution of Dignity will carry out the mission of unity of generations and peoples, as it was during the Euromaidan”, – said the President’s wife Marina Poroshenko.
Meanwhile, the press Secretary of the President Svyatoslav Tsigalko reported that the competition for the creation of the National memorial complex of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred – the Museum of the revolution of Dignity received 65 entries from 12 countries.
