Poroshenko gave the order on ceasefire on Donbass

The President added that the Ukrainian side has proposed to set the silence mode.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that he had issued the order on ceasefire on Donbass from April 1 to the General staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of defence.

“I gave all the necessary commands to the General staff and the defense Minister”, – quotes Poroshenko Interfax-Ukraine.

The President added that the Ukrainian side proposed to establish a cease-fire on 1 April.

“This once again refutes Russian claims regarding the position of the Ukrainian side, who allegedly are not ready for peace. On the contrary consistently all three years we do not just declare, we prove that the Ukrainian side to ensure the ceasefire regime, withdrawal of Russian troops, gaining control over the uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian border and restore Ukrainian sovereignty over the occupied Donbas and Crimea”, – he stressed.
