Poroshenko promised to restore special military courts.
President Petro Poroshenko said that to assess the actions of commanders in a combat situation and have the military and offered to restore special military courts.

He reminded about the sentence General Viktor Nazarov, which the civil court has given seven years in prison in connection with the crash of the transport plane Il-76. He was convicted of negligent attitude to military service in a combat situation.
“I can not remain silent after the verdict one of the civil courts, which condemned the military generals to imprisonment for seven years”, – said the President.
According to him, for three years in Ukraine there was “a new generation of enterprising, daring and sometimes desperate commanders.”
“To hobble their judgments would be foolish from the standpoint of ensuring the defense capability and security,” he said.
Poroshenko said that it plans to offer “the restoration of the special military courts in accordance with existing international practices”.
“To assess the actions of commanders in a combat situation needs military experts, military experts and military judges, not civilians. At least now, while there is this terrible insidious hybrid war”, – said the President.
According to him, the decision of the military courts was not questioned by the Ukrainian military.
