President Poroshenko reacted to the statement that the perpetrators of the MH17 crash will be tried in the Netherlands under Dutch law.
“Today the government of the Netherlands declared that the criminal proceedings in the case of the downed Malaysian airlines flight MH17 to be carried out under the national jurisdiction of the Netherlands. This mechanism of bringing to justice those responsible for committing terrible crimes were made by the States parties of the Joint investigation teams – Australia, Malaysia, Belgium, the Netherlands and Ukraine”, – wrote the President in Facebook.
He also stressed that Ukraine is fully committed to support and provide assistance to the Netherlands for the speedy punishment of the guilty.
“I want to remind you that Russia has blocked the creation of an international Tribunal under UN auspices. So believe in fairness, impartiality and objectivity the Dutch justice!”, – added Poroshenko.
