Poroshenko refused to go to the competition because of the brutal shelling of the Town.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko because of the events in Avdiivka, where today killed four local residents, has canceled a speech at the IEC before the final of the Eurovision song contest. The journalists said the press Secretary of the President Svyatoslav Tsegolko, the broadcast led the TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
The head of state by the evening I was waiting journalists, however, Poroshenko Russia has not appeared.
Later on the page in Facebook Poroshenko said he canceled a visit to the finals.
“We planned together with Marina to attend the final of the competition and invited our warriors and people with disabilities to support Ukraine together. However, the shelling and the deaths of civilians, I made the decision to cancel the stay at the final of the Eurovision”, – stated in the message on the website of the President.
Earlier it was reported about intention of the President to attend the final of the song contest.
