Poroshenko appointed a new commander of OOS

The head of state supported the decision to hold the rotation.

Alexander Syrski replaced Sergei Nueva as the commander of joint forces in the East of Ukraine. The decision was announced Petro Poroshenko in the Time under Yar on Monday.

“The proposal of the Minister of defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak and chief of General staff of the APU, commander of the armed forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko was accepted the decision on carrying out of the rotation guide EP. So I decided to support the proposal of MO and to appoint the commander of the OS of Lieutenant-General Carskogo Alexander Stanislavovich”, – said Poroshenko.

He asked the new commander of OOS skillfully apply their experience “and in coordination with state leadership to secure the release of Ukrainian lands and the restoration of Ukrainian sovereignty over the occupied territories.”
