Designed reserve officers will be sent to the ATO zone only on request.
Selection for military service at the call of reserve officers has been completed. Only for service in the Armed forces of Ukraine were selected one thousand people, said defense Minister Stepan Poltorak.
“We have had no problems with the calling of reserve officers. Recruited a thousand people, selection completed,” he told reporters in Kiev today.
The Minister stressed that the level of training of reserve officers is insufficient to bring them to combat.
“They should, and so we plan first to call, then sent to training centers where they will update their knowledge and practical skills. And only after that they will join the unit in military units that perform tasks in the zone of ATO”, – said the Poltorak.
The Minister also stressed that the conscripted reserve officers will be involved in the execution of tasks in ATO zone only if they sign the contract.
Poltorak added that in Ukraine about 96 thousand reserve officers.
