According to the study, 51% of Americans support US strike on Syrian airbase in the night of April 7, however, 54% of respondents opposed further bombing.
This is evidenced by the results of a joint poll by The Washington Post and ABC.
At the same time, 40% of respondents did not support the strike on Syria, apply who ordered the US President Donald trump, and another 9% did not define their position.
Among Republicans, the strike was supported by 86% of respondents, while among Democrats only 37%.
In General, Americans do not support the new bombing raids, with 54% opposed and 35% supported.
Almost 6 out of 10 Americans (59%) are concerned that a strike on Syrian airbase will also negatively affect U.S. relations with Russia.
The survey was conducted among 900 Americans in the period from 7 to 9 April.
