Polish traveler alone came all the way to the South pole

It took women more than 60 days, during which she overcame 1.2 thousand kilometers.

A resident of Poland Malgorzata Vitacca (Malgorzata Wojtaczka) alone made the hike to the South pole.

On the journey, the 51-year-old woman took more than two months. During this time Vitacca covered about 1,2 thousand kilometers.

According to her, the weather conditions was getting worse every day, hampered by Gale-force wind, heavy snowfall and low temperatures (down to minus 34 degrees).

However Vitacca appreciates such experience. “Life is beautiful. It was worth it”, she said. Traveler was the first Polish that has managed to do such a journey alone.
