Poland will give Ukraine a loan of 100 million euros

The Polish government has allocated 100 million euros for the modernization of Ukraine’s transport infrastructure. Of this amount, 68 million euros should be aimed at improving the quality of roads.

The Ukrainian side has already submitted its proposals to Poland in respect of projects, which can be directed to these funds. Now, the Polish authorities should evaluate the proposals to determine the directions of financing.

It is reported that Poland loan to Ukraine under an intergovernmental agreement on mutual assistance. With the help of such lending in Poland is calculated to stimulate cross-border movement, it is also expected that this will give impetus to the development of the Eastern regions of Poland.

“On both sides of the border infrastructure should complement each other and have the same standard. This is fundamental to all border crossing points”, – said earlier the first Deputy Minister of internal Affairs of Poland, Chairman of the Polish part of the intergovernmental coordination Council on interregional cooperation Jakub Skiba.

The Polish side is particularly interested in the construction of roads M10 Korczowa-Lviv as an extension of the Polish A4 motorway. In Poland also have great expectations with the implementation of the investment project on the separation of private and commercial traffic at the border crossing point Korczowa-Krakovets, which should increase by 50% here the volume of cargo.

At the expense of the Polish loan funds in 2017 should be fixed about 175 kilometers of road in six roads. The repair will be sent to 68 million euros.
