The Polish people have not forgotten the loss that stretch since the Second world war.
Poland and Germany should negotiate on payment by Germany of reparations for damages caused by Poland during the Second world war. On Monday, September 4, said the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski. “We should regroup with the Germans on serious conversation and work together to think about how to solve the problem.”
Before Minister of internal Affairs of the country Mariusz Blashak estimate the financial damage caused to the country during the Second world war, a trillion dollars USA (840 000 000 000 euros converted).
According to Waszczykowski, the Polish-German relations under the shadow of German aggression in 1939 and unresolved post-war issues. Regarding possible reparations, foreign Minister, said: “Maybe even more (a trillion dollars – Ed.) After all, precise calculations are not carried out 70 years”.
On the question of whether Warsaw would seek reparations, Waszczykowski said: “the decision may not make a Minister”. But, according to him, the Polish government is preparing a statement on the matter. It is also being tested the legal right to demand reparations. From a moral point of view there is no doubt that Poland should receive compensation, the Minister said.
In Warsaw are actively discussing the question of payment by Germany of reparations for the damage inflicted on Poland during world war II. Formal requirements in Berlin, the Polish authorities have not yet found out, but the claim already made at the highest level.
24 August, Polish Prime Minister Szydlo said that her country is entitled to reparations from Germany. “We are the victims of the Second world war, which in no way offset the losses,” she said. In Berlin insist that this issue is long resolved and not subject to revision.
