Warsaw has accused the European Commission of blackmail.
The Polish government will not tolerate blackmail from the side of officials of the European Union.
This was stated press Secretary of the government of Poland Rafal Bochenek.
“We will not tolerate blackmail from the EU officials, especially blackmail, not based on facts,” said Bochenek.
Doubts of the European Commission concerning the new law on courts of General jurisdiction unjustified, said in his turn the Deputy foreign Minister of Poland Konrad Szymanski. In his opinion, the changes introduced new rules compatible with EU legislation.
Konrad Szymanski also noted that “the EC should increasingly take into account the fact that the organization of justice is the responsibility of the member States”.
However, he assured that Poland in due time consider the comments of the European Commission.
We will remind, on July 26, the European Commission recommended that Poland in the course of a month to solve the problems caused by the controversial judicial reform. If the recommendations of the European Commission are not met, the EU immediately activates the procedure of article 7, providing for the imposition of a disciplinary punishment.
