Norwegian firm Elpedal intends to bring to market a very unusual vehicle called Podbike — recumbent with a number of features.
Design Podbike implies the existence of four wheels and two electric motors. The existing prototype is made of a chassis with the basic elements, but the final version of the velomobile will receive a streamlined dome to protect from rain and wind, as well as to improve aerodynamics.

Of course, there is the battery pack. It provides a power reserve of up to 60 km and the maximum speed is electronically limited at around 25 km/h. optionally, you can install additional battery.
Commercial version Podbike will receive led lighting devices. The vehicle will be able to carry one adult person behind which will be enough space for a child or Luggage.
To complete the work on test samples of unusual recumbent is planned for next year. On sale in the European market Podbike can be at the end of the decade. In the event of a commercial sale price will be € 4600.
