Paruby: the Ukrainian nation was formed a thousand years

Ukraine marks 21st anniversary of its Constitution.

The real defenders of the Constitution are our soldiers who protect our country in the East of Ukraine.

It said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy in his congratulatory message on the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine, which is published on the official portal of the Parliament.

“On this day I especially want to congratulate the real defenders of the Constitution of Ukraine – the Ukrainian soldiers, which protect the independence, state sovereignty and the inviolability of our borders from the invader. Thank Ukrainian soldiers that we can celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Constitution in a free, independent, European Ukraine,” – said paruby.

At the same time, he expressed his belief that with joint efforts of all Ukrainians peace is restored and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament also stressed that the Ukrainian European nation was formed and tempered during the Millennium – “from “Russian Truth” of Yaroslav the Wise, of the Constitution of Hetman Pylyp Orlyk “Contracts and decision rights and liberties Zaporizhia army” to the modern Constitution of Ukraine.

“The Constitution is not only Basic Law of Ukraine, it is a reflection of our fundamental values. The values of freedom, justice, democracy, rule of law and peace,” – said paruby.
