The party of the President of France Emmanuel Makron “the Republic is on the March!” and his political allies, as expected, confidently won the second round of elections to the National Assembly – the lower house of Parliament, which took place on Sunday, June 18.
This is evidenced by the forecast of the companies Ipsos and Sopra Steria, published immediately after the polls closed.

However, the final results may not be so shiny for the President, as expected.
According to this forecast, the conservative party “the Republicans” will have in the next Parliament 125 deputies, the socialist party, 49, “Unconquered France” and Communists – 30, a right-wing party “national front” – 8 deputies.
Earlier opinion polls showed that the party of Makron can expect to receive significantly greater number of seats from 400 to 470.
