The success of the legendary film “Interview with the vampire” and “Queen of the damned”, shot based on the novels by Anne rice, has long haunted the Hollywood studios. In particular, Universal Pictures a few times was going to bring the vampire Lestat to the big screen, but from words to deeds never came, and eventually the film rights back to the writer. She herself shared their plans to the embodiment of the universe “Vampire Chronicles”, today comprising 14 novels in the series. Judging by the current peak of popularity of this format, this idea is more than reasonable.
Today, those plans finally moved forward. The rights to create the show bought Paramount Television and Anonymous Content, participating in creation of such successful projects like “True detective” and “the Knick”. Information in his Twitter also confirmed the son of Anne, the writer Christopher rice.

It remains to cross my fingers and wait for the triumphant return of Lestat – with such a developed mythology of the future series has a chance to “shoot” and at times to increase the army of fans of “the Vampire Chronicles”.
