Over half the population of Belarus decreased by 19021 person

Last year, the natural decline rate was slower. For the six months of 2018, the population decreased by 13 648 people.

In the first half of 2019, the population declined by 19 021 person — such data are contained in a new collection of Belstat. Six months in Belarus were born 42 572 children (8.9% more than in the first half of 2018), died 62 492 people (0.4% more than in the first half of 2018).

The first place among the causes of death is diseases of the circulatory system 36 194 people. The number of deaths in working-age for this reason is reduced. But the number of deaths due to neoplasms in the working age grows by 6.9% more than in the first half of 2018.

But in the country as compared to the first half of last year reduced the number of suicides, murders, fatal alcohol poisoning and traffic accidents. But the increased number of drownings.
