July 1 in Mariinsky Park in Kiev hosted the first contest of the police orchestras.
About 200 police, 9 musical groups performed at the same time the anthem of the European Union, thus establishing a record of Ukraine – as the largest joint, simultaneous orchestral performance of this music.

Diploma of the fixed record, the representatives of the Ukrainian Book of records handed over to the Chairman of the National police of Ukraine Sergey Knyazev.
“The police should not only investigate crimes, patrol the streets, but also to raise the public spirit. I think today, our orchestras with this challenge,” said Knyazev.
The head of national police said that despite the bad weather conditions, the bands have performed adequately.
