Opposition leader Navalny arrested for 30 days

Navalny was sent back to jail.

The opposition leader, the head of the Fund of struggle against corruption Alexei Navalny arrested for 30 days of administrative arrest, the correspondent of “Газеты.Ru” from the courtroom.

The court ruled that he was guilty of organizing an unsanctioned protest being brought to administrative liability for the same offense.

Earlier, Navalny’s lawyer Vadim Kobzev reported that the opposition leader could face up to 30 days of administrative arrest.

Navalny was found guilty under part 8 of article 20.2 of the administrative code of Ukraine (re violation of the established procedure of organizing or holding a rally).

He was detained in the afternoon of June 12 at an entrance of own house before the start of the unauthorized rally on Tverskaya street.
