On the night of 13 may in the Moscow subway took place the premiere of Opera-oratorio dedicated to the English writer John Ronald Tolkien Ruelo, works which have been adapted for cinema, animation, audioplays, theatrical stage, computer games.
Closed screening of the oratorio “the Silmarillion. The memory of Tolkien” took place at the metro station “Business center” and was timed to celebrate the 82 anniversary of the Moscow metro.
It is reported that the musical piece was written by Michael Kostylev, and it stood on the “Elvish” — the fictional language invented by the author of “the Lord of the rings.” In the formulation adopted by the Presidential Symphony orchestra, three soloists and a few hundreds of choristers who were put on the escalators of the station.
