More and more Russians believe in the possibility of war with the United States
Almost a third of respondents, 30% consider a possible war between Russia and the United States. This is evidenced by results of poll of the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM).
“Armed clash between Russia and the United States, NATO, the majority of our citizens (63%) still seems impossible, or highly unlikely, but the proportion of those who think war is possible or already ongoing has reached 30%”, — stated in the materials.
So, 16% of respondents believe that the clash today is absolutely incredible, and 47% unlikely 16% say that war is highly probable and could begin, 14% believe that such a war is already underway.
In March 2014, this incredible the war was considered, according to polls, a quarter of respondents (25%), more than half (51%) said that it is unlikely, 16% thought it very likely, and only 4% expressed the opinion that it is already underway.
A nationwide survey “polls-Sputnik” was held on 11-12 April 2017 among 1.2 thousand respondents by telephone interviews. The statistical error does not exceed 3.5%.
We will note, earlier in the Kremlin said that the current relations with the US worse than during the cold war.
