At midnight from 22 to 23 September, at Ryazan GRES, a powerful explosion occurred, which injured one worker.

It is reported by the Ministry of energy.

“In accordance with the schedule of generating unit 1 Ryazanskaya GRES was bred in repairs, when you disconnect the boiler of unit at 00:28 in Moscow in a coal mill turbine factory an explosion occurred in the coal-air mixture with subsequent decay of the coal dust,” the Ministry said.

Before morning the fire was liquidated, the plant continued to work. The victim is in hospital in a state of moderate severity.

Investigation of the causes and circumstances of the incident, organized a headquarters for restoration of power.
