The new messenger is aimed at children aged up to 13 years.
Team social network Facebook introduced a new standalone app called Messenger Kids.
According to the developers, Messenger Kids will allow children safe and easy to exchange messages and video calls with friends and family. At the moment, the Kids Messenger is available as a preview only in the United States and only for devices running operating system iOS. The launch of the Android version is scheduled for the end of the month.
The app can be fully controlled by parents through the “adult” account on Facebook. Parents can create an account in the messenger for the child, without registering it in Facebook, to authorize the child’s account up to the messenger to control the contact list and clean it if necessary.
Messenger offers children stickers, GIF, Emoji, frames, and other content. Supports group video calls, you can use the interactive mask. To work is not required and binding of cellular communication, it is enough to connect to Wi-Fi.
The Messenger app Kids for iOS is available for free download on the App Store.
