The CEC asked the Parliament to “transfer” money from one expenditure to the Commission on the other.
The Central election Commission appealed to the Verkhovna Rada with a request to reallocate about 50 million UAH for ensuring the cyber security of future elections. The corresponding decree was adopted at the CEC session on Wednesday, October 10.
As explained by the Deputy Chairman of the CEC Evgeny Radchenko, this decision, the Commission invites the Parliament to “transfer” 49 million 660 thousand hryvnias from one of the articles of the expenses of the Commission on the other concerning cybersecurity.
According to him, the Central election Commission of additional money from the state budget does not ask.
“This is all the funds of the CEC, which were provided by the budget for the local elections, which have not been conducted, including the OTG, for some reason or other,” – said Radchenko.
At the same time he assured that this will not affect the election in GSS, is planned for 2018.
“The funds planned for the elections in the GSS in 2018, they do not climb, they are. A situation in which elections to the GTG will be postponed to a later date due to lack of funds, it is not expected”, – said the Deputy Chairman of the CEC.
