As a result of armed attacks on bases of the UN mission in Mali killed four people, reports Associated Press with reference to the Deputy official representative UN Secretary-General Farhan Haq.
Unidentified armed men attacked the camp in Douentza in Central Mali on Monday morning, August 14. Haq said that the killing of a representative of the mission and one of the soldiers defending the camp.
After opening the return fire was shot dead by two attackers. After a few hours at the base of the UN mission in Timbuktu also made an armed attack.
According to Huck, there’s still a shootout. Earlier it was reported that police rescued the UN compound in Timbuktu from armed invaders.
