Countries where water is a big problem.
People continually violate the harmony of nature and at the same time suffers from a lack of natural resources.
This constant and resonant story of photography is embodied in hundreds of works. Photographer Mustafa Abdulaziz his project Water for which it has identified a 15-year time frame from 2011 to 2026, to try to help ensure that we, according to his own words, “left the world better than the one that was left to us.”
Iceland
The problem of Iceland is that the water has no problem at all – the country is one of the world leaders in water resources. However, it is too sparsely populated country, the largest military formation of which is the coast guard. Imprudent: as well as attack and take away?
China
The country is seeking to become the first economy in the world, creates a constantly increasing industrial pressure on natural resources. In addition, China cut down forests, savagely exploiting the soil and pollutes the water. Water is lost even during transport.
Ethiopia
The Ethiopian government is not a good life trying to challenge today, the Nile Treaty, which is a sequel to an earlier Treaty of 1929, and demands free access to the Nile waters with the aim to use them for irrigation, drinking and power projects.
Nigeria
The most populous country of the African continent risks in 2050 to be among the three most populous countries in the world. It’s not the best: today more than 60 million Nigerians live without access to safe drinking water and more than 100 million – without access to purified water.
Somalia
Drought, famine and the use of untreated water in Somalia – the same constant, as the civil war. Strictly speaking, Somalia is missing today on the world political map as a state with legitimate authority.
Brazil
Brazil ranks first in world reserves of fresh water (the second belongs to Russia). But drawn with this wealth, the country badly: the highest fertility rate, coupled with the poor quality of the distribution of water resources leads to the fact that ordinary people lack fresh water.
Pakistan
Scientists from the UN University think that the first nuclear conflict on Earth could erupt between Russia and USA over Ukraine and Syria, and between Pakistan and India due to the lack of drinking water.
India
The population of India is 3.5 times exceeds the population of the United States, creating a tremendous pressure on agriculture and natural resources. About 21% of communicable diseases in the country arises from the quality of drinking water, which is substantially below any acceptable level.
Sierra Leone
Availability of drinking water in this country is also limited. Recent studies indicate that the demand of urban population for drinking water is satisfied only at 84%, rural – not in 32%.
USA
The increasing shortage of drinking water in North America is already costing US tens of billions of dollars annually. 36% of oil and gas wells in the United States are in shortage of fresh water.
