The initiative is aimed at development of gastronomic tourism
In Odessa in the framework of the international project “Promotion of the gastronomic heritage of the Lower Danube region RiverFood” held a kick-off meeting, which was attended by specialists from Odessa, Kiev, Lviv, Vilkovo, Tarutino, and Moldova.
The initiative is aimed at development of gastronomic tourism, the press service of the Odessa city Council.
“Odessa cuisine is a special brand, which is now represented in the Danube region in the framework of participation of Odessa in the international tourist Association “Danube center of influence”. The development of this sector for us, interesting and promising. About the achievements of Odessa winemakers already know in Europe and the world. We have to actively develop other areas of gastronomic tourism”, – said the Director of the Department of culture and tourism of Odessa city Council Tatyana Markova.
Also during the meeting were presented with the culinary Handbook “Taste of Odessa”, which presents the most popular Odessa recipes. This edition is the third in the framework of the project, which is presented on international tourist fairs and acquaints foreigners with the peculiarities of Odessa cuisine.
In addition, the participants of the meeting were presented the reports about the gastronomic routes of the Danube region, the Bessarabian cuisine, gastronomy festival in Vilkovo.
