I arrived the next short film from the web project of Neil Blomkamp. It is called “Chapter 1 – God of the Serengeti” (Volume 1 – God: the Serengeti) and lasts less than four minutes. Not that the video came out very hard, but very soft to hurt the feelings of believers can.
As you might have already guessed, this story presents the Lord the Almighty, and in a rather ironic manner. Dude is dealing with a control instruction, the Universe, and the nascent humanity as long as sports on a blossoming plain. Probably this is the Serengeti region in East Africa and is currently one of the most ancient ecosystems on the planet.
If I’m not mistaken (with a long beard and other makeup to learn still difficult), the role of the Creator takes sharlto Copley, familiar to the audience just for the paintings Blomkamp (“District 9” and “Ellizium”) and “Hardcore” Ilya Naishuller and other films. In short, cool guy, talented actor. A couple is Jason cope, another native of South Africa, who already starred in Blomkamp (“District 9” he played the alien Christopher Johnson and reporter gray Bradnam). In short, the movie is not very original, but fun. Again, black humor available.
We will remind, the project of Neil Blomkamp develops without support from large companies in order to remain independent, experimental, and so is seeking financing among their fans. Judging by the quality of the rollers released under the title Volume 1 (fantastic parable about the alien invaders “Rakka” and a hell of a fighter in the locations of the Vietnam war “foothold”), it took a lot of money and effort.
