NVIDIA introduced, allegedly the most in the world of high-performance graphics accelerator for personal computers.
The cost of a new graphics card called Titan V will be almost $3000.
Configuration graphics accelerator Titan V involves the use of a 5120 640 CUDA cores and nuclei Tensor. The declared capacity is 110 teraflops in deep learning. Base frequency is 1200 MHz, the forced frequency — 1455 MHz.
Map got 12 GB of memory HBM2 vs 16 GB in a Tesla model V100 from the same manufacturer. The total bandwidth of the memory subsystem is 652,8 GB/s. NVIDIA Titan V is the first map of the Titan family and the first consumer model (not Quadro not Tesla) manufacturer memory HBM2.
The cooling system consists of a copper radiator with a vaporization chamber at the bottom, a centrifugal fan and casing with a black and gold coloring. The developers point out that this is the first consumer-level accelerator based on the architecture Volta.
The map is oriented to tasks associated with the work of artificial intelligence and simulation of scientific experiments.
“The challenge Volta was to push the outer boundaries of high performance computing and artificial intelligence. With Titan V, we put Volta in the hands of researchers and scientists around the world. I can’t wait to see their breakthrough discoveries,” said founder and CEO of NVIDIA Jen-Hsun Huang.
NVIDIA Titan V valued at $2 999 and is already sold via a branded online store of NVIDIA in a number of countries.
