November’s sales of Lada cars in the EU fell sharply

Sales of Lada cars in the European Union (EU) declined in November 2019 20.3% yoy to 291 pieces, follows from the review of the European automobile manufacturers ‘ Association (ACEA).

In the 11 months since the beginning of this year in the EU was implemented 4,52 thousand Lada, which is 7.3% lower than a year earlier, reports PRIME.

Recall also that sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles (LCV) in Russia was in November 2019 156,848 thousand units, which is 6.4% less than in the same period last year. These data are brought before the Committee of automakers Association of European businesses (AEB).

In October 2019 sales of new cars dropped by 5.2% yoy after a decline of 0.2% in September and 1.3% in August. Sales growth was recorded the last time in March (1.8%).

For the first 11 months of this year, Russia had sold 1 million 580,297 thousand cars and LCV (minus 2.8% in annual terms).

We add that, according to the calculations of Rosstat, the production of passenger cars in Russia fell in November 2019 19.5% yoy, after falling 8.2% in October and 0.6 percent in September. With respect to the previous month, production of cars decreased by 10.7% after the October growth of 3.6%.

Since the beginning of this year to November the production of passenger cars decreased by 2.1% yoy to 1.4 million units.
