The media published a paper exit of Britain from the EU.
The UK has warned Brussels that after leaving the EU (Brexit), it will send back the radioactive waste to the United Kingdom for processing and storage.
In the order of publication was a document which establishes the right “to return radioactive wastes to their countries of origin.”
According to media reports, the British want to convince Brussels to develop a joint approach to solving the nuclear issue.
“If no agreement is reached, the ship plutonium may eventually end up in the port of Antwerp,” said one of the experts advising the London.
Note that the UK’s largest atomic complex “Sellafield” is located on the coast of the Irish sea. Now there are nearly 130 tons of plutonium, including spent nuclear fuel imported from other EU countries.
We will remind, this week Britain and the EU began the first round of negotiations on Brexit.
