Pittsburgh and Nashville scoring the match opened a crucial series for the umpteenth season in NHL history.
A lot in this match, it was decided late in the first period – Evgeni Malkin converted a double majority, a minute later Conor Shiri punished “Nashville” for the failure of the defense, and a shock cut from “Pittsburgh” summed up Nick Bonino, who helped to distinguish the guests defender Mattias Ekholm.
In the second period, “Nashville” was a serious test of defense “Pittsburgh”. Suffice it to say that the hosts 20 minutes managed never to throw in the side gate of the guests.
