Shareholders of Time Warner approved the sale of the Corporation to AT&T for $ 85 billion, and a plan of compensation management. This publication reports The Hollywood Reporter. The first item on the agenda was 78 percent of the shareholders entitled to vote, the second – 64%.
“We believe that this transaction will be of great value, as the strategic plan, and financial”, – said the head of Time Warner Jeff BUCs, speaking at a meeting with investors before the vote.
Answering questions about the prospects for its further activities in this post, Bux said that he plans to be at the head of Time Warner and after all legal formalities with the new owners. “I’m going to work in the company at least one year after the merger,” – he stressed.
Note that the transaction still must pass the approval process in the U.S. Department of justice. It is expected that all decisions will be made until the end of 2017.
We will remind that company Time Warner owns such assets as the Warner Bros. news, CNN, entertainment HBO, TBS and TNT. After the merger of AT&T and Time Warner will be formed and one of the largest media companies in the world.
