Corporation Viacom, which owns many of the assets in the entertainment industry, has announced an ambitious program of reorganization of its business. According to the publication Deadline, with reference to the head of Viacom, Bob Bakish, management of the Corporation will concentrate all efforts and financial resources on the development of six major divisions: channels BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., of Paramount.
One of the major points of this plan will be “the application of the best content is Paramount in online business and use the best content network business in film production Paramount”. So in the summer of 2018, the rental will be released the film “amusement Park”, which will be developed in the form of a television series on the Nickelodeon channel in 2019. It is also expected the rebranding of the channel Spike, which will turn into The Paramount Network in the beginning of 2018.
Recall that in early 2017 Paramount canceled the rental of several promising film projects, among which was the sequel of the zombie drama “world War Z” and the new version of the cult horror film “Friday the 13th”. The reasons for this decision were not specified, nor was reported: to be renewed if the production of these paintings in the foreseeable future.
