The expert called region of Ukraine with the highest gas prices.
From 1 April all more expensive natural gas will cost the Transcarpathian region, and the cheapest – Kiev and Ternopil.
This view was expressed by the expert on energy issues Valentin Zemlyansky.
“After the installation of the Cabinet the price of natural gas at 6 079 UAH per thousand cubic meters excluding shipping, its real value for consumers will now depend on the region. That is, the cost will fluctuate depending on region and consumption volumes. If to speak more precisely, in the end more expensive all natural gas will cost the Transcarpathian region, and the cheapest Kiev and the city of Ternopil,” – said V. Zemlyansky.
In addition, the expert commented on the increase in the price of the finished coal products mined by state-owned mines up to 2 thousand hryvnia per ton.
“This partially offset the expenses of state-owned mines, but completely all the needs of the miners won’t cover it. It turns out that the state of the mine remains unprofitable and for their future activities without the support of the authorities is necessary. In any case, it is the consequences of the blockade of Donbass”, – summed V. Zemlyansky.
We will remind, the Ministry of energy and coal industry of Ukraine from 1 April 2017 will increase the price of the finished coal products mined by state-owned mines, up 15.6% from 1730 UAH to 2000 UAH/ton (excluding VAT and transportation costs).
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by its decision on the extension of specialist National oil and gas holding “Naftogaz of Ukraine” for the sale of gas to household consumers (population) set the price of gas as a commodity, without paying for its delivery (a license fee), from April 1 to October 1, 2017 at 6 079 UAH per thousand cubic meters.
